How To Tie Knots - Beaded Banner Projects!

Many crafts and hobbies that we do require at some point in them to add a new length of thread, cording or whatever stringing material you are using for your project or to tie off the first few rows in order to clear the way to continue on with your project. The Square Knot is also known as the Reef Knot, The Granny Knot among other names. In our Peyote Beaded Banner Instructions we refer to the Square Knot. The Square Knot is what we use to tie off the third row of our beaded banners and also when we need to add more stringing material to continue beading on. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so below is a picture of how a Square Knot is tied. ReefKnot Pic Copyright Free Its a simple knot to tie and very effective for our beading projects. When you come to the point in your project that you need to add more stringing material, after you have tied the cording together you can put a dab of glue on the knot as well to make sure its very secure. After you have put that dab of glue on the knot you can hide the knot inside the bead so it won't show up in your project! A simple way to make sure your beading project won't come undone until your ready to take it apart!
