Mother's Day Ideas!

Mother's Day is a special day to let our Mom's know how
much we love and appreciate them!

One way to give Mom the day off is by cooking her one of her
favorite meals, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, its
always nice when somebody else does the cooking!

Here are some recipes and suggestions to make Mom's day

Blueberry Pancakes

2 large eggs.
2 cups of milk.
2 cups of flour.
½ cup of blueberries.
4 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

2 tablespoons of sugar.
2 tablespoons of baking powder.
2 teaspoons of vanilla.
Pinch of salt.

Instructions for Blueberry Pancakes

Whisk the two large eggs until
they are fluffy.

Add the milk, flour, blueberries, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, vanilla and salt. Whip until smooth.

Heat up a skillet over medium heat.

For each pancake, pour ¼ cup of the batter into the hot skillet. Cook the pancake until puffed and dry around edges. Turn and cook until it turns golden brown.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

  • 2-3/4 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2 inch strips
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1-1/3 cubes beef bouillon
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup chopped onion
  • 2-3/4 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped
  • 1-1/3 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes, with liquid
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1-1/4 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1-1/4 teaspoons salt

  1. Sprinkle strips of sirloin with garlic powder to taste. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the seasoned beef strips. Transfer to a slow cooker.
  2. Mix bouillon cube with hot water until dissolved, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour into the slow cooker with meat. Stir in onion, gree n peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cover, and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours.

No Bake Double Good Dessert

  • 20 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

  1. Press crushed cookies into the bottom of a 9x 13 inch pan, reserving a few for decoration. In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar. Stir in the peanut butter until well blended, then fold in the whipped topping. Spread over the crushed cookie base, sprinkle the remaining cookie chunks on top, and freeze for 1 to 2 hours. Thaw 10 to 15 minutes before cutting and serving.
